Next Marfanworld E-News

Hello everyone:
I hope everyone is well.
I am writing to ask if you have any news, updates, or future meetings, etc., that you would like to put in the next IFMSO newsletter, (March, 2006).
If you do, you can e-mail them to me at the e-mail address below:
* It could be a paragraph, or a sentence or two.
* It could be in your own language, or in English, or a little of both.
* You can write it as you want it to be printed, or you can give me the information and I will write it up for you and let you see it before it gets printed.
* You can send pictures. (Best as attachments).
* Let me know if you wish your organization to be featured in a future Marfanworld E-News.
This next newsletter, (March, 2006), will feature Mexico - Marcos and Geraldine Duran, who are the founders of the organization - Sindrome de Marfan de Mexico A.C. They will provide a brief history of their organization, their membership, and their activities.
They recently had a Marfan Poster competition, and we will feature the winning poster (topic: Marfan syndrome) in the newsletter, and also several of the runner-up posters.
They are very beautiful! We thank Geraldine Duran for the materials that she sent in and for the great job that they are doing in Mexico.
Much of the material will be in Spanish with an English section as well.
I hope that you enjoy the next edition, coming out in March, and I would like to hear if you have ideas about how to publicize the newsletter and also the web site, please write and let me know.
Also, let me know if you have made an effort to publicize the IFMSO web site and newsletter throughout the world or in your own country. For example, have you made mention of the IFMSO newsletter on your own web site, or in your own newsletters?
Have you sent out a mailing to your members?
Have you notified the health/government agencies in your country about the worldwide web site and newsletter?
Have you had a chance to check out the December, 2005, newsletter, which featured an information brochure, designed by the Norwegian Marfan Organizations to cover the needs for communicating basic emergency information when traveling. In collaboration with Gnist Design, The Norwegian Marfan Organization developed a "Travelers Emergency Folder". It is designed to provide emergency information about Marfan syndrome in several different languages. Since it folds up like a small bus or train schedule, it is easy for people to carry it with them when traveling abroad. Despite its size however, it is written in 12 widely-spoken languages.
I look forward to learning how it is being distributed and if there are any different languages added since it was featured in Marfanworld E-News.
Well, I look forward to hearing from you.
Any questions? You can contact me or contact any of the Vice Presidents listed below.
